2017 Year in Review: Queensburgh truck crash caught on camera

A video of a truck losing its trailer in Durban's Queensburgh area earlier this year showed us just how quickly the most horrific crashes actually happen.

CCTV footage shows a truck travelling down a stretch of Piet Retief Road before losing its trailer and crashing into an embankment in July.

The vehicle can be seen rounding a bend at the top of the hill before its trailer topples over, leaving the road on the left hand side. The horse then crashes into an embankment near an intersection.

Emergency services who responded to the crash said the driver escaped with minor injuries.

Upon closer inspection, it really is crazy to think how tragic the crash could have been.

The horse misses ploughing into a petrol station and heads straight towards an intersection without crashing into any other vehicles or pedestrians.
