Seven killed in truck accident near Underberg

KZN Emergency Medical Services says those who died on the scene had been travelling in a car that collided with a truck. 

We’ve received unconfirmed reports that the victims were from the same family.  

A nine-year-old child was the only survivor from the car - the truck driver was also hurt.  Police are investigating the cause of the crash.

Also being probed is yesterday afternoon’s accident on the N3 at Van Reenen’s Pass in the berg.  Four women and a man were killed when two cars collided in an area known as “Windy Corner”.

Three people were injured.
