South African actress Thuso Mbedu has joined scores of local celebrities in mourning the death of Mpho Sebeng.

Mpho died in a car accident in Potchefstroom, North West, on Sunday. He was 30 years old.

Thuso paid tribute to her former 'Saints and Sinners' co-star in an emotional post she shared on Instagram.

"Mpho made it so easy to love him," she began.

Thuso still finds it hard to believe that her co-star, whom she built a close relationship with over the years, is gone.

"Having heard of Mpho’s passing something in me short circuited. What are the words that one is supposed string together? Even now I’m seeing the posts and the changed profile pics but my brain is refusing to accept why it’s happening."

She also praised how he always showed up for his family and friends.

"We all know of his big heart that was overflowing with love. I can hear the sound of his laughter. I can see the frown lines as he zoned in, concentrating. I can see the cheeky grin. I can hear his voice when he said 'Thuwowo'."

Thuso concluded her post by praying that God gives Mpho's family, friends, and colleagues healing for their bleeding hearts.

"This is a big wound that will take forever to sew itself back together."
