Blue Ivy Carter is only 12 years old but has already won a Grammy and performed at sold-out concerts in front of thousands of people.

Now, Blue Ivy - who is the daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z - is adding movie star to her growing list of accolades.

The preteen is set to voice a character in Disney's upcoming movie, 'Mufasa: The Lion King'. The film is a prequel to the 2019 live-action, musical drama version of 'The Lion King'.

The official synopsis is as follows: "'Mufasa: The Lion King' enlists Rafiki to relay the legend of Mufasa to young lion cub Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala, with Timon and Pumbaa lending their signature schtick. Told in flashbacks, the story introduces Mufasa as an orphaned cub, lost and alone, until he meets a sympathetic lion named Taka — the heir to a royal bloodline. The chance meeting sets in motion an expansive journey of an extraordinary group of misfits searching for their destiny — their bonds will be tested as they work together to evade a threatening and deadly foe."

Disney shared the first teaser for the film on Monday, April 29.

"A lion was born without a drop of nobility in his blood. A lion who would change our lives forever - Mufasa. The earth will shake, destiny awaits you," Rafiki, voiced by South African actor John Kani, says in the trailer.

MORE FROM EAST COAST RADIO:

The closing credits of the trailer reveal that Beyoncé, who voiced the role of Nala in the first live-action film, is back for the prequel.

Blue Ivy will voice a character named Kiara. She is the daughter of King Simba and Queen Nala.

"I was so glad that both Beyoncé and Blue Ivy were down to do it, and watching them work together was just really special. Beyoncé is this larger-than-life figure, but when she’s working with her daughter, when she’s in the room with her daughter, she’s a mom first. So much of that energy bled into the film," director Barry Jenkins told ABC

Other cast members include Seth Rogen (Pumbaa), Billy Eichner (Timon), Tiffany Boone (Sarabi), Preston Nyman (Zazu), Donald Glover (Simba), and Thandiwe Newton (Eshe).

Mzansi star Kagiso Lediga will voice young Rafiki in the prequel. Two-time iEmmy winner Thuso Mbedu also features.
