Oh dear! Nick Cannon forgets some of his 12 children's names
Updated | By Entertainment Reporter
Roc, Roe, Powerful, Golden, Rise and, uhm... Being a father of 12 can get tricky sometimes.

Nick Cannon loves his children; he just can't remember all their names.
He admitted as much during a recent interview with Bobbi Althoff on 'The Really Good Podcast'. Althoff asked him why he has so many kids.
"I have a king complex. You know, as black men, we are always like, 'What's up, king?' I really did become a king," he replied.
According to Cannon, kings have a lot of kids. Yeah, maybe in the 1600s!
Althoff then asked him to name all of his kids.
Cannon, who has 12 children with six women, including his ex-wife Mariah Carey, gave her a disclaimer before naming them.
He revealed that he gets into trouble because he can't always recall all of their names in the moment.
"I know all of them, but can just rattle off 12 of anything? Can you name 12 states?" he asked.
Most people don't have a reason to remember all 50 states of America, let alone 12. But expecting someone to know all their children's names at the drop of a hat isn't unreasonable.
Nonetheless, Cannon attempted to list them all.
"Roc, Roe, Golden, Powerful, Rise, Onyx, Legendary, Zion, Zillen, Zen, and... you see this is where I, uhm, I'm missing two. And then I would say..."
Let's finish that off for you, Nick. You missed Halo and Beautiful.
Here's a look at his family tree:
- Mariah Carey: Moroccan/ Roc and Monroe/Roe
- Abby de la Rosa: Zion, Zillion and Beautiful
- Brittany Bell: Golden Sagon, Powerful Queen and Rise Messiah
- Alyssa Scott: Zen and Halo Marie
- Bre Tiesi: Legendary Love Love
- Lanisha Cole: Onyx Ice

He might not be able to list all their names on command, but Cannon has made no secret of the fact that he loves being a dad.
"People even often ask, ‘Are you gonna have more? You gonna stop?’ I’m like, those are questions that I don’t really even sit around and think about. I’m just walking in my purpose and trying to be the best father and best provider I could possibly be," he told Men's Health in 2022.
He seems to be doing well so far. His son Roc praised his dad in a sweet post shared on Father's Day.
"Happy Father’s Day, pops. I love you so much, Dad. You’ve always been there for me and helped me with whatever problem I’m dealing with at any time and any place. Thank you for raising me to be the dude I am today. You’re the best," he wrote.
Extra bonus dad points: Cannon never forgets his name!
