Jessica Biel reveals she baths in 9kg of Epsom salt

Actress Jessica Biel has revealed that she bathed in 20 pounds (9 kilograms) of Epsom salt before attending the 2024 Met Gala.
She shared her beauty ritual on TikTok.
"I know some people like to party before the Met Ball and party all weekend and all the things, and I have total respect for that. But, this is what I do to get ready for the Met Ball," the 42-year-old says in the video.
The former 'Seventh Heaven' star then dumped five bags of Epsom salt into a bathtub, which she recommends filling with "water as hot as you can take it".
The mother of two says she soaks in the bath for 30 minutes, "drinks tons of water", and then heads "off to bed early".
According to WebMD, an Epsom salt bath has many benefits. While it has not been proven, it is believed that "soaking in warm water can help relax muscles and loosen stiff joints".
Some of the listed uses include insomnia, sore muscles after working out, fatigue, swollen feet, and sunburn pain and redness.
Jessica did not reveal why she was using the salts but Dr Teal's, the brand she used, commented: "About to be the most relaxed star at the Gala."

Jessica attended Monday night's Met Gala in a watermelon silk couture dress designed by Tamara Ralph.
The gown, which featured a cape embellished with striped coque feathers and crystals, took 320 hours to make.
Jessica attended the event, which was held in New York, without her husband Justin Timberlake, but had an amazing night nonetheless.
"The garden party of my dreams. Honored is an understatement, thank you @cartier and @tamararalph," she wrote on Instagram.
The theme of this year's gala was 'Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion'.
Guests were asked to follow 'The Garden of Time' dress code.
