Boity shares her "three day detox" plan - 'It works for me'

It's almost time for Boity's monthly detox!

Boity is starting off the month of June on a clean slate as far as her health is concerned. The 'Wuz Dat' rapper says she will be embarking on a three-day detox. 

Boity revealed on Twitter that she likes to detox every month. The 32-year-old also shared the one drink she starts every morning with during her detox, and it might bring back some bad memories for some. 

"Dunno if it’s a matter of growing up or the taste has changed for the better, but I enjoy Castor oil mixed with green tea…it tastes decent and is BRILLIANT for detoxing," she tweeted. 

Many South African children had to drink castor oil as children to clean their stomachs. Let's just say it was not a pretty sight.

Boity says she drinks her green tea with a full tablespoon of castor oil. 

"Full tablespoon in a warm cup of green tea (or ginger tea if you don’t like green tea). One cup a day, first thing in the morning," she tweeted.

The media personality assured her fans that green tea and castor oil does not taste as bad as it sounds. 

"How much castor oil are u talking k'qala?? Cause I wanna detox but castor oil, ke nale trauma. I can even smell it as I type this," one fan asked. 

She replied: "I know the feeling but honestly, the green tea makes it so much more bearable. Just a tablespoon."

Boity added one last tip about the castor oil. She urged her fans to get one that is organic and food grade.

There are also several foods Boity likes to avoid during her detox. 

"While on the detox, avoid refined sugars, dairy, fast foods, heavy meat and bread. Try keep your diet as light and clean as possible," she wrote.

Boity has also shared her weight loss secrets in the past. She told Women's Health in 2016 in that she sometimes follows a vegan diet.

She also cuts out salt, coffee, alcohol, and sugar during her seven-day vegan diet.
