The year 2024 has not even begun but it is already looking like Taylor Swift is going to dominate the music and entertainment industry yet again.

The singer's concert film, 'Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour', was announced as one of the nominees for the 2024 Golden Globes on Monday.

Taylor's film made box office history when it was released in October, making more than $240-million worldwide.

Its cinematic success earned it a nomination in the 'Cinematic and Box Office Achievement' category at the Golden Globes.

But Taylor shouldn't make room on her mantlepiece for the award just yet. She is facing stiff competition in the category.

'Barbie', starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, is also nominated. The movie made a whopping $1.4-billion at the box office, making it the highest-grossing film of 2023.

Margot is nominated for 'Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy'. Ryan is nominated for 'Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture'.

'What Was I Made For', a song recorded by Billie Eilish for the 'Barbie' movie, scored a 'Best Original Song - Motion Picture' nomination. Dua Lipa's 'Dance The Night' and 'I'm Just Ken' are also nominated.

Here's a look at the other films nominated in the 'Cinematic and Box Office Achievement' category:

  • 'Oppenheimer'
  • 'John Wick: Chapter 4'
  • 'Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part 1'
  • 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vo. 3'
  • 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse'
  • 'The Super Mario Bros. Movie'

Taylor and Beyoncé both released concert films in 2023. 'Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé' was released on December 1.

Taylor supported Queen B at the film's London premiere. She was joined by her close friend Blake Lively.

Blake praised Taylor and Beyoncé for supporting each other. Beyoncé also made an appearance at Taylor's premiere in October.

"When I grew up, women were always pit against one another. It took me until adulthood to see that the instinct for women to lift each other up to their highest potential is the norm not the exception. Most of my best friends are women who would’ve been packaged to me as threats or competition. It’s our job to show younger generations the power in aligning rather than dividing. All this to say, @beyonce and @taylorswift neither of you have to be threatened by my pop stardom. There’s space for us all," she wrote on Instagram.
