Prior to the film's premiere, The Grove took to social media to announce that the open-air mall was closed to shoppers for the day.

Amongst those who also came to show support for Taylor included Julia Garner, Adam Sandler, and Hayley Kiyoko.

Taylor first shared the trailer of the film on her social media pages in August and announced that it would hit the screens on October 13.

She has described her tour as the "most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far”.

Ticket sales for the film broke records.

According to CNN, the sales crushed single-day ticket pre-sales less than three hours after tickets became available.
