Solange Knowles has revealed that she is working on new music, but it is not what people would expect.

The Grammy Award winner's fans have been begging her to release another album. The last time Solange dropped a studio album was 2019's 'When I Get Home'.

The 'Cranes in the Sky' hitmaker has been writing music but for the tuba! Solange opened up about her new obsession in an interview with Harper's Bazaar.

"I love it,” she said about the tuba. “I’ve started writing music for the tuba."

The 37-year-old is still considering whether she should make people listen to it or not.

"I am trying to talk myself into releasing it, but I can only imagine the eye rolls from people being like, this b***h hasn’t made an album.”

Solange added that the tuba sounds like what the gut feels like to her.

"There’s a way that it takes up space that you can’t deny, and it also just feels very Black to me," she told Harper's Bazaar.

Solange is the younger sister of music superstar Beyoncé. The sisters, whose parents are Matthew and Tina Knowles, were both spotted at New York Fashion Week recently.

Solange's son, Daniel Julez Smith Jr., made his runway debut at the Luar Autumn/Winter 2024 show.

Solange is not the only family member with a new magazine cover. Beyoncé is Essence magazine's latest cover star.

She chatted to the publication about her new haircare line, Cécred, which dropped this week. Their mother Tina couldn't be prouder.

"Woke up to these two covers of these gorgeous fashion magazines with my two babies on them! It is truly a good day! @solangeknowles and @beyonce so proud of you both because yes, you two are gorgeous and successful," she wrote on Instagram.

She added: "I love that you mind your business, block out the negative noise, don't criticize or put other people down, you stay positive. Keep your nose to the grindstone and keep making magic happen with your ART and with your Heart."
