The label called the performance 'jaw-dropping' and hoped his performance will inspire change in the country.
"On this Heritage Day, we at Black City Records celebrate the beauty, joy, resilience and warmth of our people and our continent Africa; the birthplace of the human species. Our common heritage is our humanity. Nothing else. We are one family. As there is still so much to be done, to redress, to repair and to reconcile, we humbly hope that this jaw dropping rendition of “ Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika” by Gloire Mapenzi will help inspire you to be the change we so urgently require. Happy Heritage Day Everyone! God Bless Africa indeed," they captioned their post.
We could not agree more with them. Get ready to hear the national anthem like you never have before.
