'Water' hitmaker Tyla has announced that her upcoming tour has been cancelled until further notice.

The 22-year-old was set to embark on an American and European tour later this month. However, all dates have been scrapped due to an injury. Tyla announced the news on Thursday.

"As much as this is something I would rather have dealt with privately, it’s important that I share what I have to share with you today,” she wrote on Instagram.

“For the past year, I’ve been silently suffering with an injury that has tragically worsened. I’ve seen doctors and specialists with high hopes, but the pain has only become more agonizing as has the severity of the situation."

Tyla, who has also cancelled upcoming festival appearances - including Coachella,  says she is "heartbroken" that she won't be able to continue the tour.

Tyla won her first-ever gramophone at the 2024 Grammys, becoming the youngest person from South Africa to do so.

She joined the likes of Black Coffee, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Wouter Kellerman , Zakes Bantwini,  Nomcebo Zikode and the Soweto Gospel Choir.

Tyla's world tour was in support of her debut self-titled album, which is due for release on March 22.

“Words cannot describe my frustration at this pivotal point in my career. So please know my team and I are working diligently on a spectacular show for you as soon as I am recovered and ready to return onstage this summer," she said in a statement.

The singer, who has several hits under her belt including 'Truth or Dare' and 'Getting Late', promised her fans that she will be back.

"Y’all still gonna see me around Tygers so don’t worry too much… just know when I’m back to performing pain-free, I’m gonna be even more of a problem," she wrote on Instagram.
