3 Doors Down singer shares stage 4 cancer diagnosis

3 Doors Down singer Brad Arnold has shared a heartbreaking health update.

The 46-year-old lead singer has been diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer. Arnold shared the shocking diagnosis in a video posted on Instagram.

"Thank you for all the memories so far. Now, I believe “IT'S NOT MY TIME” is really my song," he captioned the post.

"This’ll be a battle, so we need our prayer warriors! Thank y’all for being the best fans in the world. We love y’all!"

Arnold shared further details about his diagnosis in the video.

"I’ve got some not-so-good news for you today. So, I’d been sick a couple of weeks ago, and then went to the hospital and got checked out and had actually gotten the diagnosis that I had clear cell renal carcinoma that had metastasised into my lung. And it’s stage four, and that’s not really good. "

Despite the health setback, the 'Kryptonite' singer is keeping the faith for a full recovery.

"But you know what? We serve a mighty God, and he can overcome anything.'

Arnold has revealed that his music career will have to take a backseat due to his health battle.

'So I have no fear. I really, sincerely am not scared of it at all. But it is gonna force us to cancel our tour this summer. And we’re sorry for that," he said.

3 Doors Down's upcoming summer tour was scheduled to begin on May 15 in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Arnold urged fans to "lift me up in prayer every chance you get," adding that he would listen to the band's 2008 hit 'It's Not My Time'.

"There's a fear in me, it's not showing/ This could be the end of me/ And everything I know/ But it's not my time, I'm not going," the track's lyrics read.

Arnold is the lead singer of the band, which also includes Justin Biltonen, Chet Roberts, Chris Henderson, and Greg Upchurch.

The American rock band is known for hits such as 'Here Without You', 'When I'm Gone', 'Let Me Go' and 'When You're Young'.
