An Amanzimtoti homeowner has told President Cyril Ramaphosa about the moment he lost everything in the severe KwaZulu-Natal floods.
Johan Fourie told Ramaphosa how he had been sitting in his Rockview Road home, south of Durban when water started gushing in on Monday night.

Ramaphosa has begun inspecting the damage caused by the severe storms in KwaZulu-Natal.
The province's Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs says 51 fatalities have now been confirmed in weather-related incidents since the beginning of the long weekend.
Yesterday, emergency services responded to dozens of call-outs with people needing assistance as a result of the deluge.
Entire homes have been destroyed and families left destitute in the wake of the storm.
While the rain has subsided for now, authorities are warning that more showers and thundershowers can be expected across the province from this afternoon and into the evening.
