WATCH: Fists of fury occurs at COPE media briefing

COPE members came to blows as drama broke out at a media briefing on Wednesday.

In what can only be described as violent scenes, political party Congress of the People (COPE) had a disaster of a week.

A clip has gone viral of a couple members in the party coming to blows during a media briefing on Wednesday.

Not only just fists, but chairs and all kinds of other stuff were flying across the room.

This has definitely escalated to another level of disaster for the political party.

According to Sowetan Live, the fight took place after suspended COPE president Mosiuoa Lekota addressed the media.

Lekota was accompanied by other party leaders.

The apparent suspension was announced by Willie Madisha.

Not only is Lekota suspended, but two others in the COPE camp are also suspended - secretary for communications Dennis Bloem and COPE secretary for elections Mzwandile Hleko.

The suspension started back on 26 August.
