SPAR KZN hockey finals set for July in Kloof

KZN school set to host major hockey tournament in July.

St Mary's DSG, Kloof is set to host the 10th grand finals of the SPAR KZN Schoolgirls’ Hockey Challenge on 23 and 24 July.
It will be two days of pulsating hockey action in Kloof as ten teams look to battle it out to be crowned the champion.

Durban North Regional champions Our Lady of Fatima have featured at the Grand Finals three times, finishing fifth each time.

Sarah Bright, who is the school's hockey captain as well as the leading goalscorer of the team, spoke about how important it is to have the SPAR hockey challenge.
"These types of tournaments like the SPAR hockey challenge, are extremely beneficial to help me and the team grow our hockey game. Development within the team is very key and with these kind of games, our skills as well as meeting players across the province all bound by our passion for hockey," said the spirited Sarah.
