Updated | By East Coast Radio
Sometimes you need something that will get you through the heartbreak and sometimes you just need a good old soppy cliche.
By now you definitely do not need us to tell you that this year the month of love is a little bit different.

We get it: there's a pandemic and we should stay inside.
This does make it harder to really spoil and treat your partner this Valentine's Day as you might not be able to do all the exciting and fun things you would have planned (had it been any other year).

There is nothing quite like a classic movie date.
Whether you grab a drink or dinner before heading to the theatre or maybe you choose the popcorn-slushy combo, it's a date night that is a winner no matter your age.
But now we're stuck at home and there's no big screens and salty treats.

Don't forget to grab all your favourite treats. Pizza, sweats, drinks, popcorn, or whatever your heart desires.
Now it's time to pick a movie.
Sky
Movie suggestion: Troy
A massive blockbuster starring Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom, and Diane Kruger, this wouldn't necessarily be your classic V-Day movie choice.
That makes it perfect for those who are sick of people making 'How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days' references.
I'm not really a big fan of the rom-coms hey...- Sky

And don't think that this movie is all action. There are just as many painful, heartwrenching moments that will have you all in your feels.

This tale of two adorable dogs from different backgrounds falling in love but forced apart by their differences gives you all the Romeo and Juliet vibes but without all the death and sadness.
In fact, this movie is perfect if you don't want to concentrate too hard on something and you just want to feel good for a few hours.
This unforgettable scene alone will have you going "Aw" for a whole minute:

Darren
Movie suggestion: As Good As It Gets
Jack Nicholson, Helen Hunt, and Greg Kinnear star in this heartwarming comedy that will have you belly laughing one second and have you shedding a tear the next.

IMDB's synopsis of the movie: "A single mother and waitress, a misanthropic author, and a gay artist form an unlikely friendship after the artist is assaulted in a robbery."
While Jack and Helen have had their fair share of romantic on-screen performances, this movie just takes it that one step further.
It's a cult classic without being cliche. The perfect combination! (Just like Nicholson and Hunt.)
