Four days of water restrictions for 40 eThekwini Municipality areas

30-hour shutdown of water supply to hit several areas in Joburg from Friday

According to IOL, 40 eThekwini Municipality areas will experience a four-day shutdown this week.

The shutdown will affect western areas of eThekwini.

“Residents and businesses are informed of a planned water shutdown by SANRAL to relocate pipeline 53 to complete the construction of the N3 highway in the vicinity of Lynfield Park,” says the eThekwini Municipality.

During the four-day shutdown, there will be a reduced inflow to the western areas of eThekwini Municipality.

  14. Hillcrest
  15. KwaNyuswa
  16. Bothas Hill
  17. Kloof
  18. New Germany
  19. KwaDabeka
  20. Westmead
  21. Tshelimnyama
  22. KwaNdengezi
  23. Dassenhoek
  24. Coffee Farm
  25. KwaNdengezi Pitoli
  26. Ntuzuma
  27. Mzinyathi
  28. Crestholme
  29. Waterfall
  30. Amatikwe
  31. Etafuleni

Residents from these affected areas mentioned above are urged to reduce their consumption during the shutdown period to avoid water outages.
