Taylor Swift's new album, 'Reputation', was not eligible for next year's Grammy Awards as it was released in November.
But her singles, 'Look What You Made Me Do' and '... Are You Ready For It' - which are both currently on the Coca-Cola Top 40, do not feature, despite being released before the cut-off date.
Many also expected Taylor to receive a nod for writing Little Big Town's country hit, "Better Man' - in the main 'Song of the Year' category. The single won the award at the recent Country Music Awards.
But the the track did make the Grammy nominees list in the 'Best Country Song' category.
Taylor and Zayn Malik were also nominated for the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' soundtrack - 'I Don't Wanna Live Forever' is in the 'Best Song Written for Visual Media' category.
Zayn is the only One Direction member to get a nomination, despite everyone in the group releasing successful solo projects in 2017.
Niall Horan's album, 'Flicker', did not make the cut as it was released after the Grammy's cut-off date.
But Harry Styles' snub is most shocking as he had the most successful solo career of the band.
Miley Cyrus changed up her image and returned to her country roots for her latest album, 'Younger Now', which spawned the global hit, 'Malibu'.
But it was not enough for her to score any Grammy nods. Katy Perry and Demi Lovato were also snubbed.
Ed Sheeran, who had one of the most successful albums of 2017 with the offering's lead single 'Shape of You', spending a whopping 20 weeks at number one.
But the album only scored nominations in the 'Best Pop Solo Performance' and 'Best Pop Vocal Album' categories.
The Weeknd's number one album, 'Starboy', only received a nomination in the 'Best Urban Contemporary Album' category.
