We don't want year-end functions, we want the money!

Like many other things that have suffered the same fate in 2020, office parties might be a thing of the past...

The coronavirus pandemic has put a stop to a lot of things.

No more large gatherings like weddings and birthday celebrations.

No more hugging and secret handshakes.

As many have claimed: this is the new normal.

But one day we'll be able to hug again. We'll be able to fill small clubs to the brim.

But some things may never return to the previous version of "normal" because this pandemic might have pointed out how wrong it was.

One of these things is the holiday, year-end, whatever-you-want-to-call-it office party.

Since most of us won't be able to get together with our colleagues at the end of the year, it made us rethink the whole point of this seemingly unnecessary party?

Couldn't the money spent on refreshments, decorations, drinks, etc. rather be spent on salaries?

Considering the year some people have had, it might benefit them a lot more.
