When it comes to scams, there is a whole host of things that you have to be wary of as a consumer. Criminals learn new tactics super fast and there's no waiting for trends to hit, it's all action for them.

And, unfortunately, we are the receivers of that action, definitely not in a good way. However, there are those people that save us from the heartache of credit card scams and more...

This was one such woman. Although this happened in Texas, USA, it is certainly something that we have to all be aware of and on the constant look out for, because this has definitely happened in South Africa.

A woman from Texas, whose account was emptied, traced her last purchase back to a 7/11 store and took matters into her own hands. After inspecting the card swipe machines, she found that one had a gap and she immediately pulled the fake attachment that was actually reading customer's cards.

Check out the video she made at the store, revealing the scam to millions of people on TikTok

All in all she is happy to have her money back and is warning others about this scam. Many people came to the viral video, saying that they believe that the managers and owners of the stores are behind this.

But we cannot speculate, it's all about staying aware...
