UKZN warns of scammers posing as administrators

The University of KwaZulu-Natal has warned prospective students not to fall prey to an enrollment scam doing the rounds.

It says scammers are posing as administrators of two programmes that the institution discontinued several years ago.
UKZN spokesperson Normah Zondo says the fake courses being touted are the Primary Health Care programmes and the Bachelor of Nursing Advanced Practice programme.

"The University of KwaZulu-Natal will pursue legal avenues to ensure that those who illegally use its name, logo and/or branding are brought to book.
"Members of the public are encouraged to report any suspicious behaviour, correspondence confidentially and anonymously on our toll-free number."
