Videos of people engaging in the latest trend online where they stack up milk crates and attempt to across them as if on a podium has been gaining lots of traction on social media.

At first glance, it seems to look like a setup for a dog competition, where dogs are tested on their agility and concentration, but it is actually something that seemingly began last week when a multimedia production company, Sir Veillance Studios, were one of the first to post a video online.

Sir Veillance Studios has since owned the #MilkCrateChallenge space as the "Official Milk Crate Challenge News Source", covering everything online that involves the challenge.

The challenge has become so popular that it even has prisoners engaging in it. Check out the video below of an inmate named 'Robert' who was allegedly the first prisoner to attempt the challenge. Let's just say, how open are they when it comes to using their 'obviously' illegally acquired phones openly on the prison grounds.

The first guy who is seen doing the challenge is being compared to an Olympic star, even someone who should run for president. Come now, people, that's reaching a bit...

Nevertheless, it is a fun distraction from all the other news that has been hitting the streets of social media and a welcomed change...
