WATCH: Man almost crushed by truck that veers off the road
That was more than a close call...
When you think back to road safety training that many of us went through during our early childhood school days, being on the pavement is supposed to be a safe zone.
Well, sort of.
You never assume that your life is in danger when you are on the side of the road, rather only when on the actual road. Hence the term, road safety.
This man experienced something a little different.

He was lucky to have gotten away with his life.
In the camera view, it is not clear as to where or why he ran off, but we are just glad that he made it out alive.
It seems that the truck load got caught on the branch of a tree and it caused the driver to lose control and veer off the road.
