As youngsters, we remember wanting to be grown up and our parents saying we shouldn't be in a hurry to grow up, enjoy your childhood.

For the most part, we can firmly say the reason many youngsters are in a hurry to grow up is so that they can be in control of their lives.

But now as grown-ups, we wish we could go back to our youth. How ironic...

Not only would we all like to go back to enjoy the freedom of life, but we wouldn't mind enjoying our youthful looks again.

A video that was recently shared on social media made us question the topic of youthful looks and being young. The video showed a classroom of high school students from 1989.

Besides their style, the way they dressed made them look like they were grown-ups in high school.

The talking point for many people centred around how old the students looked.

"Man I’m 37 and those kids still look older than me," joked one user, while another remarked: "Can someone explain to me why high school students each year look younger and younger. These people look like they’re in their mid 30s." (Unilad)

Another person made a very good point that back then, foods weren't pumped with chemicals and preservatives, and therefore these high school students looked exactly how they should have looked.
