It's not often that we can say that we are surprised to hear how the value of things has escalated.

But what has shocked us is the alleged value of a type of Big Rope French Bulldog called 'Rope Daddy', that is said to be worth around $120,000 (R2.3-million).

"A Big Rope French Bulldog features a pronounced wrinkle or fold that rests above the dog’s nose, reminiscent of a thick ‘rope.’" (Only French Bulldog)

This distinctive trait has garnered a lot of attention from dog lovers and after seeing this dog, we can understand why.

"Sporting a beautiful cream-brown coat, mesmerizing golden eyes, compact body, and squarish head, Rope Daddy is considered one of the world’s most luxurious Big Rope specimens. His Colombian breeder, Julian Montoya, claims that the pooch embodies all the best traits of his breed, adding that his current value is around $120,000." (Oddity Central)

Montoya shared that caring for this beaut is not cheap and costs him around R6,700 a month.
