Looking for work can be quite stressful. There doesn't seem to be a lack of jobs on the market when you look at job sites, but the competition is tough.

With many people vying for the same jobs, the job market becomes a daunting place.

This is why being prepared for anything in your interview is so important. Being prepared and checking all the boxes when it comes to being an ideal candidate is a must.

Part of being prepared means being able to answer the mandatory questions that are asked during an interview, as well as the impromptu questions.

Now, in our opinion, there's no use in stressing over the impromptu questions, but rather be prepared for the usual questions, and the confidence will grow from there.

A recruiter has shared some concise advice on how to answer a much dreaded interview question: "Tell us about yourself...".

The fact that she says the expectation from the interviewers is a 30- to 60-second pitch is alarming, yet insightful.

Because if you are honest with yourself, there's this part of you that lingers and says too much or too little when answering this question.

So, it is quite enlightening to learn how to best to formulate an answer to this simple (yet not-so-deep) question.
