It's called 'gynophobia'; an extreme, persistent, irrational fear of women...

Many times we look down on a person, community, situation or the like when we do not understand them.

It is difficult to comprehend why someone lives the way they live when we ourselves follow a different way of life.

This is why it was shocking for us to see how one man from an African village lives his life in isolation, away from females.

Yes, we said away from females.

"Callitxe Nzamwita was only 16 when he decided that his fear of women was too much to bear. He couldn’t stand being around members of the opposite sex, let alone talk to them, so he built a wooden fence around his modest home and hasn’t stepped outside the property since." (Oddity Central)

He lives in his one-roomed house where he does everything, from sleeping to cooking.

He suffers from a rare condition called Gynophobia

"Gynophobia is a fear — or phobia — of women. People with this condition often experience fear or anxiety that can interfere with daily life. And despite common myths, gynophobia is not simply misogyny but a real phobia." (PsychCentral)
