Can you even imagine a life without money?

When we heard about the 'Moneyless Man', it sounded like something too good to be true.

For the longest time, we have been told that we cannot live without money. Isn't that the whole reason behind poverty, people who are without money?

But it seems one man has flipped the script and has chosen to live a life without money. The key word you need to remember here is 'chosen'.

"Having graduated college with a degree in business and economics, Mark Boyle quickly found a good-paying job at an organic food company in Bristol, UK." (Oddity Central)

He was living life to achieve all that was associated with success, in other words, all the material things that are associated with a successful life.

But all that changed one night when he was having a philosophical discussion about world problems and how to best approach them with a friend over some Merlot.

And like a ton of bricks, it dawned on him that "money was at the root of most problems, and remembered Gandhi’s famous quote: ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’." (Oddity Central)

Boyle decided from then on that he would lead a life without money and just a year into that lifestyle, he became known as the 'Moneyless Man'.

As much as it is super admirable to us what he has done, it is also so commendable to see someone actually live by something they believe in.

“The first few months were hard, just finding my way,” Mark admitted. “If you think about how disruptive it is when you just move house or change a job, imagine changing everything at once. But after a couple of months, it became very easy, I had all my routines worked out." (Oddity Central)

Not only has he been living a life without money for the last 15 years, but from 2017 he decided to take things a step further and began living a non-industrialised life.

Ironically, he admits that his life with technology was simpler and his life now is much more complex.
