When the rat jumps out of the net, it literally left us jumping up in fear...

We wouldn't call rats or any rodents for that matter a fun part of life.

Mostly because they bring with them a sense of ickiness that we would like to steer well away from.

Naturally, when you see one in your home, you want to get rid of it. In many Indian households, there is this belief that if you have a rat in your home, you shouldn't swear or curse at it.

If you do, it is believed that the rat might eat your clothes and shoes. We think this line of thinking comes from the story of Ganesha and symbolises the greediness of rats.

So, in short, getting rid of a rat can be a tricky affair.

Their speed and agility favours a quick getaway, so if you do get a chance to catch the furry little bugger, you better have a proper removal plan.

A video of a woman trying to catch a rat in her kitchen was an example of what not to do when you have a rat problem.

Watch what happens after she gets excited about catching the rat - this definitely has left us with that shivery feeling you get when you think of something that creeps you out.

Many people shared our sentiment, some even threw their phones as if they were there.

This was definitely a win and a fail moment for this woman, we don't think she fully thought this through. How long was she going to stand there with the rat in the net?
