An auction was held for Janet Jackson's 55th birthday and her iconic outfit from her 1993 song 'If' was sold... five guesses as to who bought it?
Janet Jackson has always been famous for her legendary outfits and they always get her onto the most memorable lists. And as much as we love you, Janet, we are shocked that someone would pay $25,000 (equivalent to R350,000) for an outfit from 1993.
In celebration of her 55th birthday, the Julien Auction held an auction under the name, "Iconic Treasures from the Legendary Career and Life of Janet Jackson", News24 reports.

The auction included a collection of 1,000 items, with the proceeds of the auction going to Compassion International - an organisation that provides aid for children living in poverty.
A photo of the outfit was posted to Julien's Auctions Instagram page and was said to have featured in Janet's music video for 'If' in 1993.

The buyer is the very famous reality TV star Kim Kardashian, who bought it as a piece of memorabilia in honour of Janet Jackson's birthday.
