The future of transportation comes with a repositioning of one's mind. Particularly when it comes to brands that are competing with electric and hybrid vehicles.
The shift comes in as a means to appeal to the side of the market that wants ease, comfort, and stress-free driving.
For many, that means parking and making those uncomfortable 40-point turns when you are in a busy area.
What used to appeal to people - automatic vehicles and cruise control - have been trumped by Hyundai's latest development.
They have developed an e-Corner System which will allow the wheels to turn 90 degrees.
Sounds pretty cool, but reading the news of the development is not as amazing as watching it. Check out the future of parking with this radical innovation.
The Ioniq 5 prototype EV not only drives sideways but also allows for the "zero turn".
"By rotating the front and rear wheels in opposite directions, the Ioniq 5 can spin 180 degrees on the spot, which would be very useful when you need to turn around in a tight area." (Techspot)
