There are things in this world that we just know not to do. An unspoken list that deep down we shouldn't say or do because, ultimately, it will get us into trouble.

One of those is not to mix your current relationship with your ex-relationships.

Of course, there are some exceptional situations, but for the most part, keeping these two apart is the way to go.

It seems this bride didn't receive that memo, or maybe she felt she had a special kind of relationship with her ex?

One that her new husband was unaware of...

She turned to the Reddit audience for advice, asking them if was a whole thing for calling her ex whilst she was on her honeymoon.

If you ask us, we think she overstepped into that red tape territory.

"One night while her husband was taking a nap, she went to the pool to video call her ex-boyfriend because she meant to touch base with him before she went on her honeymoon.

“My ex’s mom is very ill and I resonate with his situation and wanted to help support him and give him some advice,” she wrote. After an hour of chatting with her ex, her husband finds her still on the video call.

“I Introduce him and he abruptly leaves. I find him visibly upset and not talking to me. He says that these moments are for us,” wrote the new wife." (IOL)

She tried to explain to her husband that her ex's mother was ill, but he felt that she should've chatted to him about it before making the call.

As you can imagine, her ex was not happy about the whole affair. She reiterates that she doesn't have feelings like that for her ex.

She said she loves her husband, but her ex needed support at a stressful time and wanted to be there for him.

We think she overstepped, it's that unspoken thing we spoke about earlier, you cannot bring the past into the present without some repercussions.
