There's this fairytale mindset that many people have when it comes to attending a wedding.

The eternal love, the butterflies, the fact that it is known as the most important day of a person's life. All these stereotypes create a pressure of sorts on the bridal couple.

For them to colour inside the lines when they stand up in front of their loved ones (and social media) to commit to one another on their wedding day.

A video that has everyone aspiring for singledom is doing its rounds on social media.

The video, which was posted by Cynthia Umunze (the sister of the groom), has left people with raised eyebrows.

In the video, we see a newly-married couple walking the aisle after the wedding ceremony, a time which is usually associated with excitement for the couple.

But that is poorly displayed by the groom who is on his phone the entire time.

Many people have come out saying that his actions are not acceptable.

Give her the respect of being present on your wedding day.

They have also commented on the moment she says something to him at the stairs when he looks annoyed.

But the truth is this is what social media does, it warps the way we see things. Nevertheless, we think there is such a thing as having time with your phone and time without it, and this was definitely a time to be present.

A poor reflection on the groom indeed...
