When we change the way we eat it can have an effect on our bodies.

Some change is good while at other times, the change in the types of food we are eating can take some adjusting to and may cause some discomfort.

For instance, bloating, burping, excessive gas, regular visits to the toilet, and indigestion.

Usually, people turn to antacids to solve their indigestion problems.

But there are some natural ways of relieving your indigestion or gas build-up.

One way that we have tried and tested is using Jeera seeds, also referred to as Cumin seeds.

Simply taking a teaspoon of Jeera/Cumin seeds and adding some boiling water can assist you with indigestion. Let the seeds steep as you would a cup of tea and then drink.

Another great way of relieving yourself from gas or bloating was suggested by a stem cell scientist and herbalist, Christian Drapeau.

He suggests that you use Star Anise (Aniseed) with some water and boil it for fifteen minutes and then add some honey or preferred sweetener and drink.

If you have used star anise before you will know it has a sweetness to it so if you want you could try it without a sweetener. Check out the video below, courtesy of TikTok

And then there's Fennel seeds or Soamph which has a host of benefits including digestion.

Chewing it raw can help immediately, but if that's too much for you, you can add to boiling water and drink in a tea form.
