At some point, we all saw something from a previous generation return to make its mark on the current generation. 

It just so happens to be flip phones this time. 

One of the most iconic memories we have of the flip phone is from the 'Sex and the City' movie. 

When Carrie throws her bedazzled flip phone into the ocean and then has to remigrate with using a touch screen smartphone. Which is less than desirable for her...

Gen Z'ers are appearing more and more on social media, sharing their switch to flip phones in an effort to disconnect. 

"I’m team flip phone revolution,” singer Camila Cabello tweeted on Thursday, posing with a TCL flip phone. “Maybe I can write the theme song.”  

"As smartphones and social media became more ubiquitous around 2012, so did the rate of depression among teens, psychologists say. Between 2004 and 2019 the rate of teen depression nearly doubled, according to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, which is a part of the US Department of Health and Human Services." This 18-year-old is one of the trendsetters and she shares why they decided to take their flip phones out on a night out, instead of their smartphones.
