A buttery affair - a woman mistakes a croissant for an animal!
A woman in Poland calls animal control as she mistakes a croissant for an animal.
A local woman in Krakow, Poland, contacted her animal center in aid of a supposed animal stuck in a tree. Bless her for trying to help but what are the chances that the animal turned out to be a buttery croissant? Well, the chances are high!
The woman told officials, "This creature … he's been sitting in a tree across the block for two days! People don't open windows because they're afraid it's going to enter their house!" She thought it could be an iguana ("legwan" in Polish) and was genuinely concerned. The police came out to make sure it wasn't an April Fool's prank and to their amazement, found a croissant.

Makes you think, doesn't it? How many times have your eyes played games with you and you would swear that you saw something that was actually something else?
The inspector who came to the scene was light-hearted about it and suggested that the croissant was most likely tossed out of the window to feed the birds and got stuck in some twigs. The whole thing seems funny in hindsight, but the truth is it's better to have taken time to contact the authorities and be safe than not taking action and it turning out to be something that could have been avoided. So, good on you, my lady...
