Another unusual animal friendship is making waves
This just proves that you don't even have to be the same species to be best friends.
There have been many tales of strange animal friendships.

From a chimpanzee and a tiger cub to a labrador and an elephant.
These seemingly unlikely companions tend to have some of the most beautiful bonds.

And on one fateful day, way back in 2013, a very happy dog named Zyzz noticed a fishy friend swimming next to the boat.
Usually one would expect a dog to be quite frightened of the creature swimming right next to them, but not Zyzz.
He instantly wanted to join his new dolphin friend and the two have been inseparable ever since.

The two friends have spent hours upon hours swimming together over the last seven years.
Zyzz's owner, Mark de Faine, says that Jojo, the dolphin, will come right up to the boat, poke his head above the water, and check to see if his doggy friend is there.

Although he is quite old now, Jojo will also wait by the boat until he decides to get back into the water after a little bit of rest.
It seems that these two have many more years of companionship ahead of them if things continue to go swimmingly.
