Watch: South Africans take on fuel price with hilarious parody video
Updated | By Damon Beard
A stand-up comedian from Cape Town has turned the popular 'In My Feelings' challenge on its head by dancing and rapping along to a problem that all South Africans are experiencing currently.
It goes up almost every month and when it does, it is enough to give anyone a headache. Yes, I'm talking about the fuel price.
I cannot help but notice the number of people who have taken to social media to complain about the rising price of petrol. Just this past week our Newswatch team reported about rumours which made the rounds of a national shutdown. The Fuel Retailers Association shut this rumour down.
Shakir ChuQy, a stand-up comedian from Cape Town has taken to his Facebook page to share a parody video that he created of the 'In My Feelings' challenge. However, this one has a twist - it's a South African-inspired parody based on the exorbitant cost of petrol.

The video has been viewed over 67,000 times with many Facebook users taking to the comments section to commend the creative genius on his work.
If rapping and dancing are what it takes to shake the fuel price blues off, I say go for it. The song is an ear-worm of note and promises to get your feet tapping in no time.
