African drivers will now be required to provide a proof of residence when
applying to renew their car licence.

So the new news on the road according to wheels24.com is that drivers in the RS of A, are now going to be required to provide a proof of residence when applying to renew their vehicle licence.
The new rule has been implemented since yesterday by the National Department of Transport as part of Regulation 32A of the National Road Traffic Regulations.
I can already see lots of problems that will arise with this system, and a lot of complaints coming through.
But, I also think why the need for the proof of residence when you receive the notice to pay in the post anyway?
What are your thoughts, yay or nay for the new system?
