Danny discusses liquor thieves who dug a tunnel
Updated | By East Coast Radio
A Shoprite Liquor Shop in Johannesburg was robbed of alcohol recently after thieves tunnelled their way into the shop. Danny delves into this story...

Absurd, right?
In a bizarre state of events, thieves tunnelled their way into the liquor store and stole R300,000 worth of alcohol. It is unclear how long it took them to dig through a concrete tunnel.
According to News24, the robbery took place while the shop was closed due to the Covid-19 lockdown while the sale of alcohol was prohibited. The manager of the store made the discovery when they opened on Monday, 1 June when the government declared that the sale of alcohol was permitted.

Danny was stunned by this and had to share his thoughts with KZN.
"If you're going through all the effort, time and risk, why would you choose a bottle store? Surely there are better places to tunnel your way into?" said Danny.
He wanted to know from KZN: If you could tunnel your way into any place, where would it be and why?
