What was the last white lie you told?

Every now and again we find ourselves in a situation where we have to tell a little lie to save ourselves or to protect people around us. Let's face it, in these moments we mean no harm and sometimes they just seem to flow out of you.

I'm not one for telling lies and live my life with an open and transparent heart. In saying that, every now and then I find myself telling a little white lie here and there.

Can you believe we've been telling white lies since the 1700s?! Wow!

Like, sure, when it comes to telling your kids stuff that is not age appropriate you tell them what they need to know and sometimes tell a little white lie. In the end, it's still a lie though.

This morning a man tapped on my window while in the traffic and asked for money and I said I didn't have any on me. As I drove away I felt so bad, as I'm sure if I looked hard enough I would have been able to have found something. Yes, I know I can't help everyone, but still, I felt bad for lying.

  1. Telling trivial lies makes it easier to lie more often
  2. These little lies can damage the reputation of your business
  3. There are usually better alternatives to trivial lies
