In this time of my life, similar to this video, I am on a path of self-acceptance. It's not an easy road given our society that has very clear ideals of what 'normal' and 'acceptable’ are.
An inspiring music video for the song called 'No Secrets' has been doing the rounds. The video is by Purity Zinhle Mkhize, who is now a solo artist called Pure. Purity used to be a vocalist for the band Fruits and Veggies and The Pranks.

A few days ago I received a message from someone who was quite harsh and criticised me for something that I wore. I mean, as if life isn't hard enough at times to then have straight cut chirps from the sidelines is so unnecessary and unkind.
Sure, it may not be your style or look, but what does it have to do with you, and what gives you the right to push your thoughts and judgements on someone else? This also applies to who you love, the company you keep, the colour of your hair, lipstick or the size of your body.
Now is the time to choose you. Be you, love you, and always remember that you are enough.
