Forget the handbags and designer shoes, you will certainly be surprised to learn what people are impulsively spending their money on.

I'm not sure about you but when I find myself in a panic or just feeling flat, shopping most certainly has the ability to bring my mood to life.

It's funny how I can stress about finances in one minute and then shortly find myself being in the checkout line waiting to pay for something that certainly isn't a necessity. 

I get how the idea of feeling like you are in co-trip comes into play, what I don't get is how people usually gravitate towards products that are useful and that have a purpose like cleaning products or a screwdriver? 

Well, according to The Wild Wong, research has been conducted and published showing the stuff people are actually buying when they use the term 'impulsive spending'. When I first read it, I was expecting to find luxurious and super fancy items, but boy-oh-boy was I surprised.

Research has shown that most impulsive spending leads to consumers purchasing items such as cleaning materials and even screwdrivers, which are items that assist in solving problems and give people more control over their lives.

Not me! I move more towards shoes, costume jewels and sale items. I mean, which girl doesn't like a bit of luxurious retail therapy, right? ;)
