If you could, would you change your name?

If you could, would you change your name?

Your name is something you have to live with - even if you don't like it. We asked KZN if given a chance to change their name, would they do it? See what they had to say.

KZN listeners tell us what they would change their names to if they had a choice;

"A rose by any other name would smell as sweet" - William Shakespeare.

Maybe you don't like the way it sounds; it rhymes with something weird, you were mocked when you were younger, or you just want a new name, no explanation needed.

Can you believe at the age of 39 I have only now Googled the meaning of my name? I found two meanings; a gift from God and Jehovah has been gracious.

I have never had a problem with my name other then the 'Tarzan' jokes and the 'Plain Jane' comments. Ha! As if!

Mike (the male version of Jane, right?!), my husband, had such fun naming our smalls; Cooper, Rocco, and Lula.

If I were to change my name, I would go for Ruby and my second name Heart.

I went in search of some of the most unfortunate names out there, here goes:

  1. Hitler Mussolini
  2. Jed I Knight
  3. Batman Bin Suparman
  4. Bud Light
  5. Tahra Dactyl

Okay, yikes, I had a little chuckle!

Our question to KZN: Given a chance, what would you rather your name be? Here is what you had to say.
