Most women will be able to tell you that they experienced the disrespectful and degrading act of mansplaining.

What is mansplaining?

It is when a man "explains something to a woman in a condescending way that assumes she has no knowledge about the topic".

While you might not think that this happens that often, women, many of who are experts in their fields or who have a substantial amount of knowledge on the topic that is being discussed, will confirm that it happens a lot more than you think.

In the video below she says that she practices these types of responses and is thankful for her mentors who have helped her learn how to get her point across in a respectful manner:

Not only is it important to be aware that, unfortunately, interactions like this still take place every day, but her video could also help anyone else who struggles with standing up for themselves and speaking out.

A gentle reminder that no one should silence you or disrespect you when it comes to your hard work.

Well done girl!
