There is no doubt that waitresses and waiters regularly go through the most.

Almost daily they have to deal with rude, uncooperative people, some who are really just mean.

And, unfortunately, given the nature of their jobs and the fact that 'the customer is always is always right', they can't always speak up for themselves or defend themselves in any way.

If they do, they might just lose their source of income.

One waitress recently chose to ignore this fact and address a customer who was showcasing some truly inappropriate behaviour.

A couple was busy enjoying a meal at the Massapequa diner in Long Island when they decided to film the woman, Sandra, who was busy reprimanding a customer for his rude behaviour which included calling her "a b*tch", calling people lesbians, and apparently also involved acting inappropriately towards underage girls.

After the video quickly became popular on social media, lots of users went to the diner's Yelp page to leave positive reviews, mentioning Sandra by name.

The couple who filmed the original video even gave an update after the original video went viral because people were showing lots of love and support for Sandra:

All we can say is: You go girl!

While it might be frowned upon or discouraged, every now and again, you have to have the courage to stand up for yourself, others, and what is right.

So well done to this waitress and may she serve as a great example to others.
