Watch this taxi driver revive a monkey using CPR
Updated | By East Coast Radio
This is truly amazing! The way the monkey regained consciousness and held onto the man was also endearing...
A video of a man performing CPR on a monkey on the side of a dirt road has us shocked.
In the video that was shared on X, we see a man who is said to be a taxi driver trying to revive a monkey using the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) method to bring a monkey back to consciousness.
"CPR is a lifesaving technique that's useful in many emergencies in which someone's breathing or heartbeat has stopped." (Mayo Clinic)
There isn't much information in the video as to how the monkey became unconscious, but to see the man try so hard to get the little guy back to life was amazing.
Knowing that some people in KZN and surrounds have been known to get violent with these eccentric mammals is heartbreaking. Therefore to see someone go out of their way to save a life, regardless of whose, is a firm reminder of our humanity.
Watch how the monkey just allows the man to cradle him like a baby when he regains consciousness.
