As we enter the winter months, Eskom has made it clear that load shedding isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

After the initial shock of the stage 4 implementation on Wednesday, Eskom switched it up once again by announcing stage 3 for Thursday, with the hopes of moving to stage 2 by the evening.

While we may have adapted to living with load shedding and now endure it as part of our daily lives, the situation is looking pretty dire.

You might be feeling fed up and hopeless, but luckily South Africans have an uncanny ability to take the worst situations and try to find the humour in them.

And it also good to know that when these stages are thrown at us unexpectedly, the general public are not the only ones caught off-guard and left scrambling.

In a recent interview with SABC News for their show 'The Watchdog', Minister of Social Development, Lindiwe Zulu, was busy with quite a serious discussion when she was rudely and suddenly interrupted.

As with many of our very own experiences, Minister Zulu had the unfortunate opportunity of dealing with load shedding and its terrible timing.

The interviewer, who was obviously also caught off-guard, tried to make light of the situation (pun intended), quickly changed course, and moved on to something else.

You can watch the video below which shows the exact moment it happened and you can also hear the Minister's hilarious reaction:

Of course, South Africans wasted no time sharing the video and even Unathi posted it on her Instagram feed.

But the reactions to the interview might be even funnier than the original video:

Hopefully Minister Zulu has learnt an important lesson - always check your schedule!

But news outlets have been providing us with some much needed comedic moments this week. Not only did we get to witness this on the SABC, but Jessica of "Jessica, we are live" infamy and the memes that followed have put some major smiles on our faces.

If you have no idea what we might be talking about you HAVE to watch the video which you can find right here.

All in all a terrible week for electricity, but a wonderful week for some unexpected humour.
