Earlier this month, Sjava took to social media to address the rape allegations against him for the first time on film. The news was debated on social media, with people either supporting Lady Zamar or questioning if the incident even took place. In late 2017, Sjava issued a statement saying that he was taking the abuse allegations to the High Court.

In a video posted on his Instagram account in late August this year, the rapper explained that Lady Zamar was always unhappy in the relationship, but at no point did he rape her. He also apologised for the way he treated her and explained that he has lost a number of singing and acting gigs due to the allegations.

A few days later, Lady Zamar went on Instagram LIVE to give her account of the widely reported rape allegations. She made it clear that she was raped and that contrary to rumours on social media, she has not dropped the charges.

It seems public opinion is still rife on this very sensitive and serious matter and Zamar posted the following pictures on her Instagram account on Monday:

The pictures were flooded with a lot of hateful comments targeting the singer and accusing her of falsely accusing Sjava of rape. There were a few fellow celebrities and fans who came to the defence of Zamar on social media though:
